Description

High-quality and very attractive stainless steel tweezers with 8-fold magnifier and with slanted tips.

Values are important to us. In our products and in the methods we use to produce them. We have been manufacturing tweezers for over 60 years in Switzerland. With experienced and skilled employees, many of whom have remained true to our company for many years. Exceptionally reliable and precise cosmetic tweezers are the result of a 45-step process that is very much in the tradition of Swiss precision mechanics. Made completely by hand - and, in a final step, again tested individually under a magnifying glass. Only tweezers that pass this test receive the seal of quality “Rubis. Made in Switzerland.“

For us, design isn’t just a matter of form. It is our promise that we do everything possible so that our products retain their convincing form and perfect function over many years. And since people recognize that we take this promise seriously, our tweezers and scissors have been honored internationally with numerous renowned prizes for their outstanding design.

Tweezers with Magnifier Classic was designed by Fides Baldesberger.

How to Use

Tweezers with Magnifier Classic is a high-quality professional tweezers with an 8-fold magnifying glass that facilitates comfortable, precise use. You can individually adjust the distance between the tweezers and magnifier as often as required. With slanted tips it is ideal for plucking eyebrows - even without glasses. Tweezers with Magnifier Classic can be disinfected and sterilized without a problem. Thanks to its perfect ease of handling, make-up artists like Bobbi Brown and Soul Lee prefer to work with Rubis cosmetic tweezers.

How to pluck your eyebrows

They are neglected far too often - however, well-shaped and groomed eyebrows can have the same effect as a little facelift. They simply make you look better. And they do it naturally. Like a beautiful frame around a well-painted picture, well-defined eyebrows emphasize your good features. They make small eyes look larger and bring out deep-set eyes.

Plucking tips

Don’t rush, take everything one step at a time – you don’t need to do it all at once. The best time to pluck your eyebrows is right after showering. This is when your pores are at their widest and the hairs are easiest to remove. Make sure you have plenty of light and a comfortable work space in front of you where you can sit at ease and rest your elbows on the surface. And you’ll need a mirror. Make the most of this time for yourself, and enjoy doing something for your own well-being.

Always work with the natural shape of your brows. You don’t want different brows, you want beautiful brows.

Trim very long brow hairs before you start plucking. The Rubis baby scissors are perfect for trimming brow hairs safely, carefully and precisely. This will give you a better idea of the natural line of your brows.

Stretch the skin between two fingers and pluck a hair. Always take them one at a time and always pluck in the direction of hair growth.

The three important steps are: pluck it, comb it, check it. If you do this, you won’t make any mistakes.

Don’t be afraid to pluck hairs fast. Just take hold of the hair low down, near the root. Then it won’t break.

Do not pluck from the top edge of your brow. Correcting the line at the bottom of the brow gives a more natural-looking and harmonious result.

To keep the curve of your eyebrows symmetrical over both eyes, always pluck hairs from both brows in turn: left, then right, then left again, and so on.

Make sure that the brow is a little thicker near the bridge of the nose. The brow line should taper as it gets toward the end. For a harmonious overall impression, the inside of the brow should also be thicker than the outside.

After plucking it’s best to apply a soothing skin cream. Creams with chamomile extract are particularly good.

To be on the safe side, pluck your eyebrows the day before you plan to go out! This gives your skin time to calm down.

 The right shape

What is the ideal distance between the eyebrows?

A maximum of 1.5 cm is enough. Do not leave too big a gap between the brows – that overemphasizes your nose.

Where should the eyebrow begin?

Ideally, the brow should begin exactly above the inside corner of your eye. You can place a makeup brush or pencil against the side of your nose and up to your eye to provide a reference line. This is where your brow should begin. Use your Rubis tweezers to pluck any hairs on the other side of the line.

How long should the brow be?

Neither too long, nor too short. Again, you can use a makeup brush or pencil to help you determine the perfect length. Make a line between your nostril and the outer corner of your eye with the brush or pencil. Where the line crosses your eyebrow, that’s where the brow should end.

Where should the highest point be?

The brow line should form an arch that rises 3/4 of its length and falls 1/4. If you’re sitting in front of a mirror and want to see where the curve of the brow should reach its highest point above the eye, the best thing to do is draw another reference line (with a brush or pencil), this time starting at the nostril and crossing the middle of the pupil. The highest point is where the line and the brow intersect. Pluck any hairs above that level.

How thick should the eyebrows be?

Your brows should suit your body type. Fine-boned people should opt for a thinner line. If you’re more of an athletic type, your brows can easily be a bit thicker.

Material

What characterizes a really good pair of tweezers? Three things: The perfect closing of the tips, their precise edges, and an arm tension that, when squeezing the tweezers, yields a lightly-resilient resistance. Sensitive qualities that, even with a great deal of experience and expertise, can only be coaxed out of the steel when it is of the highest quality. Which is why compromises are not an option. We therefore only work with top-quality surgical steel. which is acid-proof, antimagnetic and rustproof. Thanks to these outstanding material characteristics, our tweezers retain their perfect functionality for many years.
